Tata Digital has hired another top start-up executive -- Shivcharan Pulugurtha from Swiggy. Pulugurtha was senior vice president -- the senior most role after a CXO -- of business at Swiggy, where he oversaw the food delivery business of the SoftBank-backed start-up. He joined the company in 2019 as national business head, according to his Linked-in profile

After Swiggy’s former chief operating officer Vivek Sunder left in July 2021, Pulugurtha played a key role in overseeing the company's food delivery business. He was responsible for handling the top line and unit economics, sources aware of the matter added.
Tata Digital president Mukesh Bansal, who previously launched Myntra, has been recruiting senior executives from the new-economy ecosystem since he came on board. Tata Digital has also made a minority investment of $75 million in Bansal’s start-up Cultfit.
The top names Tata Digital has hired recently include fintech firm Scripbox’s cofounder and chief business officer Prateek Mehta, Udaan’s founding team member Bhanu Pathak, Rajiv Subramanian, former head of Cleartrip India business, and long-time Flipkart employee Aseem Sachdeva.
